Who We Are and What We're Doing

Hey there! Thanks for visiting our blog. Together, Lisa, Catalina, Justine and I (Gillian) will document the many adventures we're sure to have on our trip to Asia. Here we are, clean and unscathed pre-backpacking:


While we all have our own reasons for embarking on this trip, we have a few things in common. First, our love for meeting new people, seeing new places and experiencing new things. We can't wait to snorkel off the coast of Koh Samui, practice Tai Chi in Hanoi, and swing from vines into the waterfalls in Luang Prabang. I definitely can't wait to see how we will make it with nothing but a backpack to hold our many purchases and souvenirs (I think this is what most of my friends are wondering about also!). Most of all, we can't wait to spend a month with three of the most amazing women we've ever met!

So where will our journey take us? After much deliberation and planning (like true HBA grads), we've come up with a plan. Here's a map (left, not to scale) for your reference.

We're not sure what we'll learn or who we'll be when we return, but that's part of the fun of it. Life's all about the journey, and not the destination, isn't it?

Thanks to our many friends who have helped us plan for the trip, we couldn't have done it without you!

We'll work together and take turns documenting our days on this blog (whenever we have internet!) so please return often. J & C are already in Asia and L & G jet off June 26th. We'll all see you on July 29th back in Canada.
